Background
The Ruhuha Green Star Foundation has been created by three development activists namely Hakizimana Jean de Dieu who is Chairman, Hategekimana J. Bosco, Executive Secretary; Mukankubito libelee, women’s development officer; Ashimwe Russie youth development officer, aiming at psycho-socio-economic integration of youth and young women through local anti-violence and anti- poverty solidarity cluds as a strategic tool for empowering the rural poorest and most vulnerable families, so that they can be fully integrated in social economic development and become actors and victors of a positive change for sustainable.
Even though RUHUHA Green Star Foundation created through Assemblies of God, it is a charitable institution whose programs are matching with philanthropically mission, it is sincerely avoiding any kind of discrimination and marginalization based on any faith or any religion, race, color, gender, ethnicity…. It is located in eastern province of Rwanda, Gatsibo district, Kabarore sector, Simbwa cell, Ruhuha village, but hoping to spreading activities across the country. The prioritized activities are mainly based on the psycho-socio- economic of youth, especially the youngest mother singles and their children, thus Ruhuha Green Star Foundation has open an early child education center in which a number of 94 kids from most vulnerable families among them 16 are the kids born by minor single mothers, 25 are orphans, all 63 are from the poor families managed by poor adult widows. For 2021-2023 action plan, Ruhuha green Star Foundation is planning to implement four main interventions namely:
-Early child education facilitation of the kids from the vulnerable families focusing on those born by minor single mothers and orphans
-Psycho-socio-economic integration of youth especially poor single mothers in income generating activities through local anti- violence and anti-poverty solidarity clubs
The Ruhaha Green Star Foundation philosophy is the fact that mother singles’ problems related to gender based violence can be eradicated if the single mothers come to understanding their role in searching the long term solutions
